Biography

Hello, I am Matthew Roh, problemsetter on Codeforces and student in Industrial Engineering.

I have been preparing competitive programming contests since 2023, and the first contest that I have set a problem on Codeforces was Harbour.Space Scholarship Contest 2023-2024. Since then, I have regularly tested and prepared contests where thousands of participants compete.

I am currently studying simpler models regarding problems related to TSP, and researching methods to combat cheating in competitive programming.

For a long time, I have had a deep interest in optimization. I have studied many types of optimization problems regardless of whether it is continuous or discrete, and that has shown in my problemsetting career as well. Moving forward, I would like to study real-life optimization problems, where the constraints are much more complex and traditional methods are hardly feasible.

I am currently studying simpler ways to model problems related to TSP, and researching methods to combat cheating in competitive programming.
